Pastor Michele Jenson
Michele grew up in Moorhead and worked at Christ the Lutheran Church for about 16 years prior to starting Seminary. She spent the last 35 years as an Associate of Registrar at Minnesota State Community & Technical College as well and retired from there in March 2023 to take her call at CTK. Michele received her Masters of Divinity Degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul MN in 2020 and was ordained that same year.
Prior to working at Christ the King she did SAM work at Good Shepherd Lutheran and served as Pastor at the Perley Parish – Kirkebo Lutheran Church in Perley MN and Nora Lutheran Church in Gardner ND. She is extremely excited to be back at the church she calls home and looks forward to serving there for many years to come.

Jo Marie is a native of Moorhead and a life-long member of Christ the King.
Jo Marie holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Concordia College. During college, she served as organist at churches in the area before becoming the organist at CTK. Along with being the organist, Jo Marie also leads and plays piano in the worship band. In her free time, Jo Marie serves as musical director or accompanist for several local theatre companies, traveling to NYC, reading, and spending time with her nephews.
Steph Deitz
Children’s Ministry Assistant

Steph Deitz was called to CtK as a Children’s Ministry Assistant in January of 2014, after a number of years as a parent volunteer. She attended Good Shepherd Lutheran and Moorhead High School in her youth, and then graduated from Concordia College with her teaching degree. She also was a camp counselor for Lutheran Camping in Southern California during her years there. She then earned her Master’s of Elementary Education degree from Winona State University while teaching in Rochester, MN. She has taught in Minneapolis, Bismarck, Moorhead, and now currently at Oak Grove Lutheran.
Kristie Buermann

Kristie grew up in Verona, ND. She married her husband, Jade, in 2008 and is blessed with two children, a son, Maklaine, and a daughter, Lorelei. Kristie and her family have been members of Christ the King since 2017. At this time Kristie started volunteering by helping the quilters for a time, teaching one of the Faithwalk classes, and joining Befriender’s Ministry. She was asked to help start the Children’s Ministry Committee and has been a part of it ever since. Kristi is the church’s Children’s Ministry Assistant and Event Host. Kristie is passionate about all the work she does for CtK. “CtK is not just my church but my faith home.” Currently Kristie is working on a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing games, and spending time with family, friends, and animals.
