WELCA Mission Statement: To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
WELCA Website: The Women of the ELCA’s churchwide website offers an array of inspirational writings. Prayer Shawl Ministry
Shawls have come to symbolize shelter, peace, and spiritual sustenance. The Prayer Shawl Ministry allows people to lovingly donate their time and talents by creating hand-knit or crocheted shawls for those in need. No need to know how to knit or crochet – we will teach you! This group meets the second Tuesday of the month at 1:30 pm in the Library.
Quilters
Extra hands are always needed to make quilts. No sewing skills are needed. The quilts go to CtK graduates, on mission trips, and to families in need in the F/M area. Churches United, the Dorothy Day House, YWCA, and the Rape and Abuse Crises Center are among others who receive quilts from our quilters during the year. We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 9:00am, and will meet sometimes twice a month during the busy season (these times are always listed in the HeartBeat).

CIRCLES
Christ the King currently has four circles – Anna, Esther, Sarah, and Saturday. These Circles meet monthly for Bible study, host special events, organize parties for local nursing homes, and raise money and donate goods for designated missions. Circles meet all year long, except during June, July, and August.
